I have been trying to lose weight with all sorts of means!!! From pills to diet plans! Nothing worked on me and I thought I was never gonna get my body back after the corticosteroids. BUUUUUUT this diet worked!
I followed exactly what the girls on the forum said and never cheated. My tips are:
1. The most important one is: When you feel hungry(and you will multiple times) take a moment and realize the feeling in your stomach then talk to yourself and say this is one of the difficult obstacles my body has to overcome but I have a purpose! And you will see that the hunger feeling will fade away.
2. Follow the diet exactly as it is, it will be easier the next days.
3. Do some mussle strengthening work out before you sleep, nothing extreme or running, you don t want to feel dead tired because your body hardly has any energy.
The results for me are 8 pounds in 6 days and I am writing this
3 weeks later and I have not gained anything back!!
Pros: The fat just melts away. Fantastic feeling and confidence.
Cons: My immune system shut down on day six! I started having runny nose and sickness feelings. I had to eat to be functional again. Also another problem was the cayenne pepper I struggled drinking it but I did it because it worked in the end!

I've been using this lemon DETOX as a cleanser for my pre-diet. I have researched and it is all mainly intended for a "once every few months" type of thing. You will be weak at the beginning, but it's because your body's energy is being used to naturally flush out all your toxins that have been built up for years. I find it a little more satisfying by using organic honey instead of maple syrup. Other than that the rest of the ingredients are great. The water keeps you hydrated( BY ALL MEANS KEEP DRINKING REGULAR FILTERED WATER THROUGHOUT THE DAY) The lemon's acid triggers out the toxins in your body. I did the detox due to having some stress issues causing my hair to fall out. I wanted to do a quick detox before changing my ways in my diet and exercise promoting a healthier lifestyle.
I did the detox for 5 days and noticed a change in my hair and skin. I felt very weak for the first few days which I blame mainly on the lack of caffine. I would suggest giving this up prior to the detox. No caffine or solids is pretty tough going.
I managed to get the syrup fairly cheap on www.weightlosshub.co.uk as my friend who did it paid nearly twice as much.
My detox is now over and I lost naturally lost about 5lbs in the process. 2 weeks would have been far too much for me as I live a fairly busy life.
I have now purchased some dvds again on the website. Tae bo and 6 weeks abs and am feeling great.

Yes.... IT DOESNT WORK.... I lost 5 pounds, and got 15 pounds back..... in 1 month....... I was so mad....... but I should have known better....... I mean , you starve for 2 weeks, and then you can eat again....... of course, your body will hold on to as many calories as possible...... waste of money

Hey Allie I have been doing my research on the Maple Syrup Diet for the past 2 weeks. I have a wedding to attend in November and I have 4 stones to lose. They recommend that the maximum time you are abled to stay on this FAST is 30 days, I am quite disciplined when i make up my mind to do something, oh and a good trick is to look at yourself in the mirror and make yourself believe that your holiday is in the next few days and then ask yourself "would you want to look like this packing your cases!!!! I think not. I begin tomorrow with a clear mind and positive thoughts as this is the only thing that is going to help jump start my weight loss.

But I have read a lot of replies to this and a lot seem to be giving misguided information.
This diet does not allow any consumption of food (unless you have the 1 meal a day method) nor does it allow you to take slimming tablets of any form with it.
Its strictly, Natural tree syrup and lemons. Nothing else for 6-10 days, I know a lot of information about this as I took this diet to my clinic and I have read a book about it written by a doctor/dietician. If anyone does give you bad reviews on this diet, ignore them. Theres only two downsides, and that is hunger (which can be cured quite easily by a pint of water or two) and constipation as you are not consuming any fibre.
But please, Do Not consume anything other than the syrup, no food, alcohol, slimming tablets etc. It can waste your money, time and mess around with your diet and eating habits.
I have done this diet twice in the past 6 months, first time I used it I used concentrated lemon for the first 4 days, and I never lost a thing the last three days I used actual Lemons and added Cayenne pepper or Ginger and lost 5 pounds.
The second time was just last week, I lost 10 pounds from it by sticking to the exact recipe and using the natural tree syrup I bought from a slimming website, its expensive as it did cost me £45, but it is certainly worth it. I used actual Lemons and Cayenne pepper, I also used the 2 litre bottle method, using 140ml of the tree syrup, 3 lemons, and a large pinch of pepper and add to two litres of water, I felt using it this way was much easier for me in work and at home as I didnt have to prepare a glass every hour or two.
For those who have been using normal Maple Syup out of the supermarket, good luck with that as it does not work. The Maple syrup you receive in the litre form off slimming websites etc, is the real one and the only one you can use as other maple syrups in supermarkets are full of sugar additives and chemicals, so basically, if you use Maple syrup out of a shop, then basically you will put on weight, as that is sugar, not glucose tree syrups.
Yes, you have to use Cayenne pepper as it speeds up your metabolism when mixed with the mineral from the lemons.

Ive just started the diet to, im on day 2 and i seriously cannot stop thinking about food this is awful, i thought i was gnna be sick in the night and had stomach pain.
